Purpose

Caglewood Inc is a non-profit 501(c)3 service organization focused on providing services to populations wo are typically hard to reach populations.  We feel that it is our obligation as members of society to help create a better world for everyone, and that is our plan.  We will do this by simply spreading love.  We live to serve and we serve by teaching others three of the most powerful words, Love One Another.

The first pupulation in need we have sought to support is individuals with developmental disabilities, or commonly refered to as Special Needs.  Aside from the obvious physical and mental disadvantages, people with special needs often have a harder time expressing themselves, keeping active in their daily life, and a harder time leading and indemendant life.  These are all area we address in our programming, and we attempt to do so in unique and recreational ways.

Method
Caglewood is overseen by a volunteer board of directors who give vision and support to the programs.  This board consists of professionals from diverse fields, all of which offer both their time and financial support to the organization.  The day to day opperation  is managed by a small staff, most of which are volunteers themselves, including founders Paul & Jessica Freeman. Caglewood also strives to always provide the very best to our campers.  Many of our campers have medical and other conditions which cause them to at times be financially tight.  Therfore Caglewood keeps camper tuitions to a minimum and offers "scholarship programs" to allow those without the means to participate for free.  Many of our campers are also dependant on programs which have to use lower quality or second hand materials and transportation.  Individuals with special needs will hardly ever complain about these types of things, but we believe that they deserve the best.  That is why we only use the very best when it comes to camping equipment, transportation meals etc.  Thanks to sponsors like Continental Tire and the Georgia Power Foundation and generous donations by individuals like you it is not only possible, it is a reality.
